Christmas Pictures

We had a wonderful and very blessed Christmas this year! This was Lauryn's second Christmas, but really her first one to be excited about the presents. At first she didn't quite get the whole unwrapping thing....but it didn't take her long and she was digging in and ready to unwrap her gifts (or anyone else's gifts, for that matter, Ha Ha). This time of year is always a time that I personally reflect on how blessed I am. I have a wonderful husband and daughter, who are healthy and so loving! We have wonderful family and many friends. I look forward to the coming year and pray for much health and happiness for all.

Fun with Family

We have been busy lately seeing lots and lots of family! Lauryn loves to be around people. It's so much fun! We went to my parents and then my mom brought us back home. We spent a few days shopping with mom and having loads of fun with Lauryn's Yang-Yang! Merry Christmas to all!

Breakfast with Santa

On Saturday we went to Breakfast with Santa at our church. We had a good time! Lauryn didn't feel too comfortable with Santa this year. Maybe next year's picture will be better :)

My brother and sister in law were in town this weekend and we had a wonderful time together. Lauryn loves her Unc and Aunt Lit! We will miss them being here so much. They give Lauryn their complete attention and she loves it!

What? It's almost Thanksgiving!

I can't believe it's time for Thanksgiving! Where have the last few weeks gone? We have been back to Tuscaloosa for a bit and also Lauryn and I have both been sick. We are finally on the mend now and back to our old selves! I am posting a couple of pictures from the past few weeks.

Fun Fall Weekend

This weekend we did lots of fun things!

We went to our Sunday school class Halloween Party. Here are Annie, Ava and Lauryn as cheerleaders. So cute together!!

We went to a pumpkin farm together with Christine, Len and Will!

We also celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday at Maggiano's! Lauryn loves her Lulu!

Long time no post...

I haven't posted anything for a while. We have been busy with this or that. Ryan and I took a trip together to San Francisco! It was my first time away from Lauryn, but it went great for her and for me too. We had a wonderful trip together! I have included a few pictures below.

We went to the zoo this morning and had a good time! As you can see Lauryn was ready to go :)

On another note....Lauryn has been taking only one nap a day off and on for a couple of weeks now. Does anyone have any feedback on this (going from two to one nap a day - how old was your child and how did it go, etc.)? Thanks and have a great fall day!

FSU or Alabama?

We spent the week at my parents in Tuscaloosa and had a wonderful time! Lauryn and I were definitely spoiled. The FSU vs. AL game was on Saturday. And well, of course my family and I are Alabama fans - and for those of you who don't know, Ryan is a big Florida State fan. Needless to say the game was exciting! I had to post both these pictures of Lauryn - I guess she'll just have to be both a Bama and FSU fan!

This afternoon we went to the zoo with Daddy! (actually this is the second day in a row for me and Lauryn) It was a beautiful day to be outside.
You can't see Lauryn very well in this picture, but I just thought it was funny how the fish has "red eye!" People tend to have red eye with our camera, but it's funny to see it on the fish too.

After the zoo, we went to Ryan's parents for a great dinner! Ryan boiled 18 lobster - what a treat! (they were shipped to them at work, and yes, they were still alive - I think they really do "squeal" when you drop them in the boiling water)

First Day of Music Class

Yesterday was our first day of our Kindermusik class! We are in class with Mandi and her little boy Preston. Both Lauryn and Preston enjoyed the class. They are both so sweet and social. We had fun! Here's a picture of them eating lunch together afterwards.

Lauryn's First Birthday!

Lauryn's first birthday party was wonderful! It was so much fun to have all our family there. What a special day that we'll always remember! She is such a sweet girl, learning and growing more everyday. She is everywhere now and trying to be into everything - she has such a fun personality and is such a social bug!! Happy Birthday to our little girl - we are so blessed!

Counting Down to the Party

Well, I can not believe that Lauryn will be a year old next week. I feel very nostalgic, yet very excited for all the fun to come. She is learning so much everyday that it's amazing. This Saturday we are having a family birthday party for Lauryn at her Lulu and Dadoo's house (Ryan's parents). All of my family is coming up from Tuscaloosa, and so I am very excited about that too! They can't wait to see Lauryn and how she's grown. Watch for pictures from her big day! Have a wonderful day.....

Lauryn's so "busy" these days!

Today after church when we were changing out of our church clothes, Lauryn loved walking all around the house in just her shoes and bloomers . I thought it was so cute, and she did too! Ha Ha She is so busy these days, ever since she started walking about two weeks ago! She now will find something and want to put it on - such as that sun hat or that t-shirt that Ryan brought back for Lauryn from Honduras. She is such a honey! I tried to post a short video - but can not figure out how to get it to work. Any suggestions?
