Lauryn wanted to try on her new gloves and snow boots this morning! I had to post this picture because it was so cute the way she loved walking around the house in that get-up. We are going to Colorado at the end of the month, so she is getting ready for the trip.

so cute! have fun in colorado. i wish we were going! when is she having tubes? so sorry to hear that, but hopefully it will help. i don't have any great advice for flying and ears--the only trick i know is for bigger kids--take a balloon and let them try to blow it up when you are taking off/landing. it helps their ears pop--i'm afraid that won't help lauryn too much! sorry!

In answer to your question...I don't know if the lessons will teach that or not. I really don't know much yet. I just signed up at the gym we go too, but I will let you know when we get started!!!

About the tubes...almost everyone that gets them LOVES them because their kids are so much happier without all of those ear infections. It can be nerve racking for your child to have to go through the procedure, but most everyone says it is the best decision once it is done. Good luck with that. When is she getting them.
As for travel, I packed lots of crayons, snacks, sippy cups, etc. I thought about a healthy dose of benadryl but didn't go that route, although I know many that do!! Good luck and have a great time! (Sorry about the long post...)
Oh, duh...portable dvd players are great for travel with kids, too. Are there any movies she will sit and watch yet? If you don't have one I'm sure someone probably has one that you could borrow without having to buy one if she would actually use it much...
